...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of southeastern
Collier, northern Mainland Monroe and central Broward Counties
through 915 AM EDT...

At 832 AM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists were tracking
a strong thunderstorm 11 miles north of Wilderness Waterway, or 13
miles east of Chokoloskee, moving north at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Miccosukee Indian Reservation, Big Cypress National Preserve, and
Miccosukee Service Plaza.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

These winds can down small tree limbs and branches, and blow around
unsecured small objects. Seek shelter in a safe building until the
storm passes.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
