...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of southeastern
Collier, northern Mainland Monroe, northern Miami-Dade and southern
Broward Counties through 530 PM EDT...

At 428 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists were tracking
a strong thunderstorm 7 miles west of Loop Road Ee Center, or 17
miles east of Chokoloskee, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Shark Valley Obs Tower, Loop Road Ee Center, Big Cypress National
Preserve, Dade-Collier Training Airport, Fortymile Bend, and
Everglades National Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

These winds can down small tree limbs and branches, and blow around
unsecured small objects. Seek shelter in a safe building until the
storm passes.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Excessive cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
