805 FNUS56 KMFR 242107 FWFMFR Fire Weather Forecast for southern Oregon and northern California National Weather Service Medford, OR 207 PM PDT Tue Sep 24 2024 ...Gusty southwest to west winds expected east of the Cascades Wednesday afternoon... .DISCUSSION...A marine push will bring clouds, patchy fog and higher humidity to the coast tonight into Wednesday. Inland areas remain dry. An upper trough swings through the PacNW Wednesday. Overall, it will be cooler, but with gusty W-SW winds in advance of the trough from the Cascades eastward. At least a few hours of windy conditions (peak gusts of 35-45 mph) will occur in eastern Siskiyou, Modoc and Klamath/Lake counties with peak gusts of 35-45 mph. However, afternoon minimum RH values in the 15-20% range are bit too high for a Red Flag Warning. Another weak trough Thu night into Friday will skim by to the north and dissipate. A stronger one could bring gusty winds east of the Cascades Saturday.
