.DISCUSSION...A very similar forecast is slated for today as
compared to yesterday with the addition of slightly stronger wind
speeds and slightly lower RH values. Taking a look at
observations around the wildfire, wind speeds are starting to pick
up similar to yesterday and will continue through early this
evening (~8:30 PM). Speeds may be about 1-3 mph stronger today
than yesterday. RH will also be lower, bottoming out around the
low 20% range. A front will come through today (not expecting a
notable wind shift), and only slightly cooler temperatures are
expected. RH recovery tonight should be around 80-85%. For
tomorrow, there is some uncertainty on the timing of the inversion
breaking, with some data suggesting poor mixing even early in the
afternoon. We will continue to evaluate this for tomorrow
afternoon, but wanted to mention this small chance for planning
purposes.
