...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN JONES...CENTRAL
LENOIR...NORTHWESTERN CRAVEN AND NORTHERN DUPLIN COUNTIES THROUGH 415
PM EDT...

At 343 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms near Wyse Fork, or 8 miles southeast of Kinston,
moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Kinston, Phillips Crossroads, Deep Run, Comfort, Fort Barnwell,
Pleasant Hill, Wyse Fork, Dover, Sandy Bottom, Cove City, and
Trenton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
eastern North Carolina.
