.Discussion...Drier air will overspread more of the area today and
produced limited shower chances areawide. Light winds in the
morning will increase to around 10-15 mph with some higher gusts
in the afternoon and slightly higher along the coast. Slightly
above normal temperatures are forecast with lower 90s interior and
upper 80s coast. Generally Good to Very Good dispersion is
forecast through Wednesday.
Moisture is forecast to be drawn northward Wednesday ahead of a
likely tropical cyclone lifting north from the NW Caribbean. At a
minimum, this should bring a return to wet conditions especially
Wednesday night and Thursday with potential for heavy rainfall and
gusty winds of tropical storm force. There will also be a tornado
threat within the rainbands. Deep moisture could linger across
the Florida peninsula through late week keeping rain chances above
normal.
Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast.
Localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or existing
fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
