The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  North Mobile Bay...
  South Mobile Bay...

* Until 830 PM CDT.

* At 654 PM CDT, a strong thunderstorm capable of producing
  waterspouts was located over Gaillard Island, or near Middle Bay
  Light, moving southeast at 10 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Gaillard Island, Dog River Bridge, East Fowl River Bridge, Fairhope
  Pier, Bon Secour Bay, Middle Bay Light, Alabama Port, and Point
  Clear.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
