The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southern Mille Lacs County in east central Minnesota...
  Benton County in central Minnesota...
  Northern Sherburne County in central Minnesota...

* Until 815 PM CDT.

* At 727 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Sauk Rapids,
  or 10 miles north of St. Cloud, moving east at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  St. Cloud, Sauk Rapids, Zimmerman, Princeton, Milaca, Foley,
  Foreston, Santiago, Glendorado, Pease, Gilman, and Oak Park.

This includes the following highways...
 U.S. Highway 10 in Minnesota between mile markers 179 and 183.
 U.S. Highway 169 between mile markers 172 and 191.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is
one of nature`s leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for central and
east central Minnesota.
