...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM EDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of east Tennessee, including the following
  counties, Carter, Johnson and Sullivan and southwest Virginia,
  including the following county, Washington.

* WHEN...Until 400 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 115 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Bristol Tn, Mountain City, Bluff City, Damascus, Shady
    Valley, Harr, Laurel Bloomery, South Holston Dam, Doeville,
    Sadie, Hunter, Konnarock and Morril`s Cave.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
