...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN BLOUNT COUNTY
THROUGH 145 PM EDT...

At 122 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles northeast of Smoky Mountains-Twentymile Creek, or 15 miles
southeast of Maryville. This thunderstorm was nearly stationary.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Smoky Mountains-Fontana Area, Townsend, Cades Cove, and Great Smoky
Mountains National Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until
this storm passes.
