...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT WEST CENTRAL RUSSELL...
NORTHEASTERN SCOTT AND SOUTHEASTERN WISE COUNTIES THROUGH 445 AM
EDT...

At 418 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles north of Gate City, moving northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Coeburn, St. Paul, Nickelsville, Dungannon, Fort Blackmore, and
Castlewood.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
