...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 715 PM EDT
FOR SOUTHEASTERN JEFFERSON...NORTHWESTERN COCKE...SOUTHWESTERN GREENE
AND SOUTHEASTERN HAMBLEN COUNTIES...

At 644 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Baneberry, or 8
miles northwest of Newport, moving southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Morristown, Greeneville, Newport, Dandridge, White Pine, Baneberry,
Parrottsville, Mosheim, Bybee, and Lowland.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 40 in Tennessee between mile markers 422 and 440.
 Interstate 81 in Tennessee between mile markers 8 and 22.
