Low pressure will form along the front off the SE coast tonight and then move slowly NE along the front, reaching 40N60W by early Thu morning. Weak high pressure will build E across the N waters Wed night into Thu, shifting E of the region Thu night and Fri. A cold front will approach from the NW late Fri, then move offshore Fri night. The front will become stationary across the central waters Sat and Sat night as high pressure builds in from the W across the northern waters. The NAVTEX transmitter in Chesapeake, Virginia is offline until further notice. Technicians are aware of the problem and are working to have it repaired.
