Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine is near 18.9N 83.0W
at 5 AM EDT, and is moving northwest at 7 kt. Maximum sustained
winds are 30 kt with gusts to 40 kt, and the minimum central
pressure is 1001 mb. Nine will move to 19.6N 84.2W this afternoon,
20.7N 85.7W Wed morning, 22.0N 86.2W Wed afternoon, 24.3N 85.6W
Thu morning, and 27.8N 84.4W Thu afternoon. Nine is expected to
become a large and powerful hurricane. Widespread showers and
thunderstorms will shift into the SE Gulf through Wed as Nine
moves northward into the eastern Gulf.

.TODAY...E winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Scattered tstms.
.TONIGHT...TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS POSSIBLE. E winds 20 to
25 kt, becoming E to SE 30 to 35 kt after midnight. Seas 4 to
6 ft. Numerous showers and scattered tstms.
.WED...TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS EXPECTED. E to SE winds 35 to
45 kt. Seas 8 to 11 ft. Scattered showers and isolated tstms.
.WED NIGHT...HURRICANE CONDITIONS EXPECTED. E to SE winds 55 to
60 kt, becoming SE 70 to 80 kt after midnight. Seas 12 to 17 ft.
Numerous showers and isolated tstms. Vsby 1 NM or less.
