Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Advisories for Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine in
the western Caribbean have been initiated this morning. Nine is
located near 17.6N 82.0W moving N at 5 kt. Maximum sustained
winds are 25 kt with gusts to 35 kt. Minimum central pressure is
1004 mb. Nine is expected to move slowly N-NW today and
gradually become better organized, reaching near 18.6N 82.4W
this evening as a Tropical Depression, near 19.5N 83.7W Tue
morning as a Tropical Storm, near 22.1N 96W Wed morning as a
hurricane, near 27.1N 85.1W Thu morning as a major hurricane,
then inland near 34N 83W by Fri morning. Nine is expected to
become a large and powerful hurricane. Widespread showers and
thunderstorms will continue across the W and NW Caribbean then
shift into the SE Gulf Tue and Wed as Nine moves northward into
the eastern Gulf.

.THIS AFTERNOON...NE to E winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.
Scattered showers and isolated tstms.
.TONIGHT...E winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 2 ft or less, building to
3 to 4 ft after midnight. Scattered showers and isolated tstms.
.TUE...E winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Scattered showers and
isolated tstms.
.TUE NIGHT...TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS POSSIBLE. E to SE winds
35 to 45 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft, building to 5 to 7 ft after
midnight. Numerous showers and scattered tstms.
.WED...HURRICANE CONDITIONS POSSIBLE. E to SE winds 45 to 50 kt,
increasing to 55 to 65 kt in the afternoon. Seas 7 to 10 ft.
.WED NIGHT...HURRICANE CONDITIONS POSSIBLE.
.THU...HURRICANE CONDITIONS POSSIBLE.
.THU NIGHT...HURRICANE CONDITIONS POSSIBLE.
.FRI...SW winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 7 to 10 ft in W to NW swell.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...Moderate N to NE swell will propagate into the
northern waters today, bringing an increase in seas over the
waters N of 25N through mid-week. Advisories for Potential
Tropical Cyclone Nine in the western Caribbean have been
initiated this  morning. Nine is located near 17.6N 82.0W moving
N at 5 kt.  Maximum sustained winds are 25 kt with gusts to
35 kt. Minimum  central pressure is 1004 mb. Nine is forecast to
move northward  through the eastern Gulf of Mexico Tue night
through Thu night and become a large and powerful hurricane.
This will bring  increasing winds and seas to areas offshore
Florida and N of the  Bahamas during that time.

10 to 15 kt N of 27N. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Numerous showers and
scattered tstms.
.WED...E to SE winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft.
.WED NIGHT...SE winds 20 to 25 kt S of 27N, and E to SE 20 to
25 kt N of 27N. Seas 5 to 7 ft.
.THU...TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS POSSIBLE.
.THU NIGHT...TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS POSSIBLE.
.FRI...S winds 15 to 20 kt S of 27N, and S 20 to 25 kt N of 27N.
