Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Storm Alberto is near 22.2N 95.0W at 11 AM
EDT, and is moving west at 8 kt. Maximum sustained winds are
35 kt with gusts to 45 kt, and the minimum central pressure is
995 mb. Alberto will move to 22.2N 96.4W this evening, inland to
22.3N 98.3W Thu morning, weaken to a remnant low near 22.4N
101.2W Thu evening, and dissipate Fri morning. Another broad
area of low pressure is forecast to develop over the southwestern
Gulf of Mexico this weekend. Environmental conditions are
expected to be conducive for gradual development of this system
through early next week while it moves slowly west-northwestward
or northwestward.
