New England continental shelf and slope waters from 25 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...A cold front will slowly
approach the coast this afternoon through tonight, and gradually
cross the waters tonight and Thu, and passing E of the outer
waters early Thu night. High pressure will build E over New
England late Thu night, then move gradually E across the waters
Fri and Fri night before shifting E of the area by later Sat and
Sat night. A warm front will lift NE across the waters later Sat
through Sat night, and be followed by a cold front moving to the
New England coast Sun then over the waters Sun night.

Gulf of Maine to the Hague Line

.TODAY...SW winds 15 to 25 kt. Seas 4 to 8 ft.
.TONIGHT...SW winds 10 to 20 kt. Seas 4 to 7 ft. Scattered
showers with vsby 1 nm or less.
.THU...SW winds 15 to 25 kt, becoming S to SW 5 to 15 kt. Seas
4 to 7 ft. Scattered showers with vsby 1 nm or less.
.THU NIGHT...W to NW winds 10 to 20 kt, becoming NW 10 to 15 kt.
