...Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and
increased in duration for the following rivers in Nebraska...

  Ponca Creek At Verdel affecting Knox County.

.The heavy rain that fell on Thursday night is expected to push the
Ponca Creek to Moderate flood stage. Additional heavy rain is
possible in the basin on Friday night as well.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY TUESDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Ponca Creek at Verdel.

* WHEN...Until early Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Local levees along the river near Highway
  12 begin to be overtopped.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:15 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 15.5 feet...or 2.0 feet
    above flood stage.
  - Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the last 24
    hours was 15.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.0
    feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
    flood stage late Monday morning.
  - Flood stage is 13.5 feet.
