A few strong to severe storms are likely to develop and move east across parts of the coverage area between 5 PM and 10 PM. The areas with greatest potential for thunderstorm development are near and southeast of a line from Denison to Omaha to Fairbury. The strongest storms will be capable of producing large hail up to golfball size, locally damaging winds, and perhaps some localized flash flooding, especially if storms develop over urban areas. The overall tornado potential appears to be very low, although not quite zero. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday Minor to moderate flooding will continue along the Missouri River into next week. While all sites are expected to crest by early next week, repeated rounds of rain could lead to river levels remaining elevated for longer than currently forecast. In addition to the river flooding, some severe weather and heavy rain appear possible on Monday and Tuesday. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is unlikely through tonight. $$
