...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1030 PM CDT
FOR POTTAWATTAMIE COUNTY...

At 1008 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles southeast
of Hancock, or 13 miles west of Atlantic, moving east at 50 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Public.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
         homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Council Bluffs, Oakland, Avoca, Treynor, Underwood, Neola, Carson,
Walnut, Shelby, Crescent, Minden, Macedonia, Hancock, Council Bluffs
Airport, McClelland, Old Town Park, Farm Creek Public Wildlife Area,
Botna Bend Park, Weston, and Arrowhead Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

This is a DANGEROUS SITUATION. This storm is producing widespread
wind damage across central Pottawattamie County. SEEK SHELTER NOW
inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows.
