Sandy Hook NJ to Fire Island Inlet NY out 20 nm...

At 742 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Island Park,
moving east at 20 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
         suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
Jones Beach, Sandy Hook, Island Park, Barnum Island, Entrance to New
York Harbor, Rockaway Inlet, and Middle Bay.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes.
Wind gusts 34 knots or greater, small hail, high waves, lightning,
and heavy rain are expected with this storm. If caught on the open
water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded metal
objects.
