This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern
Illinois, southwest Indiana, western Kentucky, and southeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Thunderstorms are possible today. Heavy rain and lightning are the
primary storm hazards, but stronger storms may also pose a gusty
winds hazard.

The heat index may reach or exceed 100 degrees today in southeast
Missouri and western Kentucky.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

The heat index may reach or exceed 100 degrees again Monday in
southeast Missouri and western Kentucky, and southwest Illinois
may likewise see these high heat indices.

The hottest day will be Tuesday, with heat indices reaching or
exceeding 100 degrees over the entire region. Some locations may
reach or exceed Advisory levels of 105 degrees, most likely in
southeast Missouri.

The next best chance of storms, including strong storms, is
Wednesday. Heavy rain, lightning, gusty winds, and hail may all
present as hazards from stronger storms.

Triple digit heat indices are forecast again by next Friday and
Saturday.
