SOUTHWESTERN HAMILTON AND FRANKLIN COUNTIES THROUGH 1030 PM CDT... At 949 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Rend Lake Area to Herrin to near Cedar Lake Area. Movement was east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Carbondale, Marion, Herrin, West Frankfort, Benton, Carterville, Johnston City, Mcleansboro, Christopher, Rend Lake Area, Sesser, Zeigler, Crainville, Cambria, Cobden, Royalton, Energy, Goreville, Galatia, and Valier.
