Hydrologic Statement
National Weather Service Pittsburgh PA
1116 AM EDT Sat Jun 29 2024

Past 24 hour precipitation...
A few scattered showers did not affect the flow of the
rivers or streams.

Forecast precipitation for the next 48 hours...
The forecasted average rainfall in the basin is expected
to be between 0.50 to 2.00 inches across eastern Ohio and
western Pennsylvania. In northern West Virginia, the expected
range is between 0.25 to 0.75 inches. It`s important to note
that the heaviest rainfall will be associated with thunderstorms.
Therefore, the small streams will respond quickly to the storms.

River trends...
Due to the forecasted rainfall, minor fluctuations are
expected on the mainstem rivers in the next 48 hours. However,
minor flooding could occur in smaller streams such as the Redbank
in the upper Allegheny Basin.
