.DISCUSSION...A strong cold front will make its way across the
fire area today staring between noon and 2 PM. It will bring enhanced
winds across the fire area as well as elevated instability. Winds
will be primarily from the west to start at 6 to 11 mph then
increasing as the cold front nears to 8 to 12 with gusts to 25 and
higher. Thunderstorm chances near the fire are 20-25% beginning at
11 AM. Daytime RH values today will be good between 51-56% with
excellent overnight recoveries. Behind the cold front humidities
will decrease and tomorrows humidities will drop to between poor
and good.
