Rainfall amounts of around 1 to 2 inches are likely on Monday in
the mountains around Stanley and Ketchum, including the Redfish
Lake area. Up to 2.5 inches of rainfall is possible, especially
for the western Sawtooths. Additional high mountain snowmelt of
around 2 inches is expected as well. Quick sudden rises of creeks
and small streams is possible, which may make backcountry trails
and roads impassable. Isolated mud or rockslides is possible as
well. Valley creek in Stanley could reach bankful, if not
higher. Anybody with backcountry plans in the mountains around
Stanley and Ketchum should monitor this situation closely.
