Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
225 PM MDT Thu Jun 6 2024

.Discussion...

Hot temperatures will remain in place across the region on
Friday, with highs in the upper 80s to near 100 degrees.
This will push humidity values near 15 percent. A few gusty
areas may produce spotty near critical fire weather conditions
during the afternoon hours. Showers and thunderstorms are
expected to develop over the higher terrain Friday afternoon
and spread east through the evening. Gusty outflow winds and
lightning will be the main concerns for areas west of I-25.

Cooler temperatures are expected Saturday into Monday across
the region. Widespread showers and thunderstorms are forecast
each day with locally heavy rainfall likely. Shower and
thunderstorm activity looks to decrease by the middle of next
week.

Good smoke dispersions will fall off to poor overnight. A return
to excellent dispersions is forecast for Friday.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
