Light rain showers this morning will shift east of the area with a break in precipitation expected. Another round of thunderstorms will move off the mountains in the afternoon bringing erratic gusty winds up to 50 mph, brief heavy rainfall and lightning. The most likely timing for thunderstorms today will be after 3 PM, with a couple rounds of weaker showers and thunderstorms possible until midnight. Otherwise, expect west winds this morning shifting from the southwest and gusting up to 25 mph. Winds should shift from the west as storms roll off the mountains late this afternoon and evening though could be erratic in wind direction near thunderstorms before leveling off from a light westerly direction overnight. .REST OF TODAY...
