This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central North Carolina.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Afternoon temperatures are expected to climb into the middle 90s
across much of central NC. Heat index values could top out in the
upper 90s to lower 100, mainly across central and eastern portions
of central NC. If outdoors, drink plenty of water and take frequent
breaks in the shade.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

An extended period of dangerously hot weather is expected this
weekend and continuing through the middle part of next week. High
temperatures are expected to reach the middle to upper 90s each day,
with heat index values of 100 to 105 degrees expected, highest
across central and eastern portions of central NC. These unusually
hot conditions for this time of year will increase the risk of heat-
related illness, especially for those without access to air
conditioning. Avoid outdoor activities during the warmest parts of
the day.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
