TO NORTHWEST NEVADA AND NORTHEAST CALIFORNIA THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING...
.DISCUSSION...
Hot and dry conditions continue into early next week with poor
mid-slope recoveries and typical afternoon and evening breezes.
Strongest breezes will occur over northwest NV and northeast CA, where
locally critical fire weather conditions will be present for a few hours
through this evening. Scattered showers with isolated thunder is possible
for areas south of US-50 in the Sierra, as well as into Mineral and
Douglas counties in western NV on Tuesday. A low pressure system will
bring enhanced winds by Wednesday into Thursday, and with the low
humidities, critical fire weather is possible.
