...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN JOHNSON COUNTY
THROUGH 500 PM MDT...

At 430 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12
miles west of Powder River Rest Area, which is 16 miles east of
Buffalo, moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northeastern
Johnson County.

This includes Interstate 90 between mile markers 70 and 95.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in Riverton.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT for
north central Wyoming.
