...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in North
Carolina...

  Dan River Near Wentworth affecting Rockingham County.

For the Dan River...including Wentworth, the sewage treatment plant
near Danville, Paces, South Boston...Minor flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

The next statement will be issued by noon.this afternoon at 215 PM
EDT.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Dan River near Wentworth.

* WHEN...Until this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Minor flood stage. Flooding of lowlands
  and one or two roads.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 2:45 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 19.1 feet, and slowly
    rising.
  - Bankfull stage is 18.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 2:45 AM EDT Wednesday was 19.1 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.1
    feet this morning. It will then fall below flood stage this
    morning.
  - Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    19.1 feet on 10/30/2020.
