Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western Washington
National Weather Service Seattle WA
230 PM PDT Sun Sep 22 2024

.DISCUSSION...High pressure will keep most of the area dry tonight.
Weak system moving by to the north for a chance of showers near the
Canadian border and along the coast. High pressure strengthening
Monday pushing the system well to the north. Weak offshore flow
Tuesday will result in the warmest day of the week, but will not be
prolonged enough to cause concerns over RH or other fire weather
concerns. The pattern becomes wet Wednesday through Friday with two
systems. The best chances for wetting rain will be the North
Cascades, Olympics and coast.

Forecast for 20 foot wind speed (valleys and ridge tops) are 10
 minute averages reflecting RAWS winds.
