Mount Rainier Recreational Forecast

.SYNOPSIS...Mostly warm and dry today at Mount Rainier National
Park with a few showers possible over the Cascades with somewhat
unstable air with a weak passing system. Temperatures return to
near normal this week, with the best chance for rain and snow
showers on Tuesday. Temperatures become below normal Friday into
the weekend as the pattern changes to cool and wet.

.IMPACTS...Strong winds at and above 10,000 feet will make it
difficult to move safely and could produce local whiteout
conditions. A high level of skill and experience in alpine
terrain, including use of GPS, is recommended for navigation and
camping in these conditions.

.SUNDAY...Mostly cloudy in the morning, then mostly sunny with a
slight chance of showers in the afternoon. Snow level near
9500 feet.
