442 SXUS46 KSEW 022159 RECSEW Mount Rainier Recreational Forecast National Weather Service Seattle WA 259 PM PDT Sun Jun 2 2024 .SYNOPSIS...Atmospheric river pattern over Western Washington will continue through Tuesday, consisting of two separate waves of heavier rain moving through the park. The first will continue until early Monday morning and the second will start Monday evening and continue into Tuesday. The second wave will be weaker than the first. Upper level ridging builds over the area Wednesday and will remain in place through at least the weekend, bringing dry and much warmer weather to the park. && .IMPACTS...Stormy weather will create difficult mountaineering conditions at 10,000 feet and above, with local blizzard-like conditions, strong winds, and near zero visibility Sunday night through Tuesday. A high level of skill and experience in alpine terrain, including use of GPS, is recommended for navigation and camping in these situations. && .SUNDAY NIGHT...Rain and snow.
