666 SXUS46 KSEW 241227 RECSEW Mount Rainier Recreational Forecast National Weather Service Seattle WA 527 AM PDT Tue Sep 24 2024 .SYNOPSIS...High pressure moving over the region will bring mostly dry conditions to Mount Rainier National Park today. A fall-like weather system will move across the region on Wednesday, bringing more widespread precipitation, breezy to strong winds, and a chance of isolated thunderstorms to the area. Another system will move into the region Thursday night into Friday, before conditions dry out over the weekend. && .IMPACTS...Strong winds near the summit Tuesday night through Thursday will make it difficult to move safely and could produce local whiteout conditions. A high level of skill and experience in alpine terrain, including use of GPS, is recommended for navigation and camping in these conditions. && .TUESDAY...Sunny.
