This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Arkansas,
southwest Arkansas, north central Louisiana, northwest Louisiana,
southeast Oklahoma, east Texas and northeast Texas.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

Above normal temperatures will continue across the region through
this afternoon, with highs in the mid to upper 90s. Peak heat index
values will range from 100 to 105 degrees so, even though no Heat
Advisory is in effect, those having to spend a lot of time outside
should drink plenty of water and consider taking breaks in the shade
or inside an air conditioned building before sunset this evening.
Otherwise, no hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Upper level ridging will keep quiet conditions across the region
through the weekend. Although no hazardous weather is expected, the
ridge will allow for above normal temperatures to continue for most
areas through early next week, with highs in the low to mid 90s.
Despite the warm temperatures, heat index values should continue to
stay below Heat Advisory criteria. At least slight thunderstorm
chances will return to the region Monday through Wednesday, but the
potential for severe weather is low at this time.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
