(Today and tonight) Issued at 238 AM CDT Tue Sep 17 2024 ...Mostly dry with above normal temperatures today... Another day much like what we saw on Monday, with above normal highs in the low to mid 90s across the area. Some of the hi-res models show a very few isolated showers briefly late this afternoon across portions of the Hill Country and Heartland, but chances remain very very small. Most of the models are dry and given the very low chances, will not include a mention at this time. Lows tonight struggle to drop below the 70 degree mark. && .LONG TERM... (Wednesday through Monday) Issued at 226 AM CDT Tue Sep 17 2024 ...Above Normal Temperatures and Dry... Expect hot and mainly dry conditions through much of the long term as a strong upper level ridge centers over the Southern Plains. Temperatures will be above normal with highs in the 90s through much of the long term. Slightly cooler temperatures are possible early next week with highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s.
