...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 215 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following
  counties, Callahan, Jones, Shackelford and Taylor.

* WHEN...Until 215 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1218 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of
    rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Abilene, Clyde, Baird, Merkel, Tye, Tuscola, Buffalo Gap,
    Trent, Putnam, Potosi, Eula, Dudley, Hamby, Caps, Dyess Afb,
    View, Rowden, Coronados Camp, Atwell and Impact.
  - This includes Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 261 and 323.

    This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
    Curry Lane from Clack Street to Catclaw Drive, I-20 Frontage
    Roads near Baird, Intersections along Buttonwillow Parkway,
    Butternut Underpass, Intersections along Sammons Street,
    Texas Avenue at Arnold Boulevard, I-20 Frontage Roads west of
    Clyde, I-20 Frontage Roads near Putnam, FM 3308 crossing Draw
    and FM 89 crossing Elm Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
