...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CDT TODAY...

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following
  counties, Brown and Coleman.

* WHEN...Until noon CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 954 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms...from Echo to Burkett to Cross Cut to
    May...moving southeast at 20 mph. This will cause arroyo and
    small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Brownwood, Blanket, Grosvenor, Cross Cut, Burkett, Byrds,
    Lake Brownwood Near Thrifty, Lake Brownwood, Lake Brownwood
    State Park, May, Thrifty, Echo, Owens and Us-283 Near The
    Coleman-Callahan County Line.
  - This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
    FM 1467 crossing Blanket Creek, FM 2273 crossing Rough
    Branch, County Road 172 crossing Little Pecan Bayou, County
    Road 485 crossing Indian Creek, County Road 441 crossing
    Bledsoe Branch and County Road 362 crossing Blanket Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
