.DISCUSSION...
Soils and KBDI values continue to suggest values below critical
thresholds, especially in the southwestern coastal areas, where
the KBDI for Cabo Rojo was 313 and for Gunica is 466. The light
east southeast winds along with local sea breezes will continue
to bring patches of shallow moisture across the islands to maintain
RH values in the mid to upper 50s. Winds will continue from the
east- southeast between 8 to 12 mph but slightly higher with the
sea breezes. Given the expected conditions, the threat of fire
danger will remain low today.
