The areas affected include... Atlantic Waters of Puerto Rico and USVI from 10 NM to 19.5N- Coastal Waters of Northern Puerto Rico out 10 NM- Coastal Waters from Cabo San Juan to the waters between Anegada Island and Virgin Gorda and North 10 NM- Anegada Passage east of Virgin Gorda and Saint Croix south to 17N- Coastal waters east of Puerto Rico, around Vieques, and around and just north of Culebra and Saint John- Caribbean waters of Puerto Rico from 10 NM to 17N, including the coastal waters of Saint Croix- Coastal Waters of Southern Puerto Rico out 10 NM- Mona Passage Southward to 17N- At 1128 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms are affecting most of the local waters. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes. $$
