.DISCUSSION...An area of low pressure will track towards northern
Arizona tonight, and across southern Utah on Saturday. The Unitas
will reside on the northern fringes of the moisture associated
with this low. Expect some terrain-based cumulus development this
afternoon with a very low chance for a brief shower late in the
afternoon and evening. A better chance for showers arrives on Saturday
beneath quite a bit of cloud cover. Snowfall amounts with this system
will be very light, most likely around a dusting, with less than a 15%
chance for 1". Moisture will begin to depart on Sunday, but excellent
overnight recovery is expected. Another low will drop across the region
on Monday, once again providing for the potential for isolated showers,
and keeping temperatures near to slightly below normal for the time of
year. As we head into next week, a slow warming trend is expected each
day, along with a slow drying trend. Overnight recovery is expected
to remain good through midweek, with some drying by late in the week,
when MaxRH drops down into the 65-75% range, with MinRh remaining in
the 20 percent range.
