.DISCUSSION...High pressure has weakened over Utah this morning,
and this is allowing moisture to return to the area. A shortwave
will cross northern and central Utah today, increasing instability
and allowing scattered showers and thunderstorms that develop.
Given the very dry lower levels, storms that develop will produce
little rain but are likely to produce dry lightning and periods of
gusty and erratic winds during the afternoon and early evening.
The moisture will remain in place tomorrow, but without an
associated shortwave overall coverage will be less than yesterday,
so the threat of gusty winds will be lower.
