A lingering southerly long-period swell is evident via late-morning offshore buoy observations. As such, a high rip current risk forecast is maintained and is forecast through the weekend as shift from the northeast to south or southeast each day. Showers and thunderstorms may be possible each afternoon, with today and Sunday looking to have the best chances.
