Surf Zone Forecast
National Weather Service Tallahassee FL
447 AM EDT Mon Jun 17 2024

.THE SURF ZONE FORECAST GENERAL OUTLOOK...

Early this morning, the buoy located about 90 miles south of
Apalachicola was observing south-southwesterly waves of 4 feet at 8
seconds. This will easily cause sufficiently energetic surf to support
a high risk of rip currents today. Then a prolonged period of strong
easterly breezes will set up over the northeast Gulf late today,
lasting until about Friday morning. This will confidently maintain a
prolonged period of high rip current risk at all area beaches.
