...Periods of gusty west to northwesterly winds expected along
the Rocky Mountain Front and adjacent high plains this evening
through Friday morning...

Increasing westerly flow aloft and mountain wave activity will
bring windy conditions along the Rocky Mountain Front and adjacent
high plains beginning this evening.

The strongest winds are expected from 5 pm MDT through midnight
tonight when westerly sustained winds of 30 to 40 mph are
expected, along with gusts up to 60 mph at times. There will be
periods of lighter winds overnight before another wave of stronger
northwesterly winds move in during early morning hours on Friday.

In addition to the winds, temperatures tonight will fall into the
30s and 40s and there will be showers and even some higher
mountain light snow, creating cold and wet conditions for those
outdoors.

Anyone with travel or recreational plans along the Rocky Mountain
Front should be prepared for difficult travel with high profile
vehicles and poor conditions for outdoor activities. Those
planning to be outdoors should be properly dressed for cold and
wet weather.
