...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN SHAWNEE AND
SOUTHEASTERN JACKSON COUNTIES THROUGH 700 AM CDT...

At 630 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 6
miles northeast of Silver Lake, moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down twigs or small limbs and blow
         around objects. Minor damage to vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Silver Lake and Hoyt.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
