Cloud cover will begin to increase later tonight across the
far eastern sections of the forecast area as Helene makes
landfall this evening in the Big Bend area of Florida.
Otherwise, quiet weather is in store for the overnight period
with low temperatures near or just a few degrees below seasonal
averages.

(Tomorrow through Thursday)

Later in the day Friday, remnants of Helene will be absorbed by a
cut off upper low that will be in the mid south region. Rain
chances will spread back east into Arkansas, with some shower
activity possible across NW AR and possibly parts of far E OK.
Will maintain low PoPs from Friday afternoon and Friday evening in
those areas. Beyond Friday, settled weather will prevail for the
remainder of the forecast period. A dry cold front will move
through the area early next week, with little impact on
temperatures. Temps will warm later in the week ahead of another
cold front that may move into the region by late next week.

VFR conditions are expected through the forecast period for all
sites. Skies remain mostly clear overnight with mostly high clouds
building in by the morning hours across NW AR. Otherwise, light
winds will become gusty out of the north/ northwest by late
tomorrow morning (gusting to near 20 kts) along with the
development of some afternoon cu.
