At 228 AM, National Weather Service radar detected scattered
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mainly over much of
eastern Oklahoma and into northwest Arkansas. Thunderstorms with
locally heavy rain were located in Latimer and Adair counties in
Oklahoma and Crawford county in Arkansas. The precipitation was in
the Fort Smith area. Movement was to the east at around 20 mph. The
average amount where it rained last hour was around one tenth of an
inch with maximum amounts of an inch to an inch and a half. Coverage
and intensity remained about the same as last hour. The Tulsa area
forecast for late tonight and into this morning, cloudy, occasional
showers and a chance of thunderstorms with temperatures 62 to 67
degrees and north winds up to 10 mph.
